The event Chairman was Paul Radden DPAGB EFIAP\/g PSA4 and the three judges were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gordon Jenkins HonPAGB<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vin Scothern DPAGB EFIAP BPE5 PPSA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dave Tucker DPAGB EFIAP\/p BPE5<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For the GB Trophy, each club can enter up to 30 Open prints and 30 Nature prints and for the GB Cup up to 24 Open PDIs and 24 Nature PDIs. The three judges award a mark between 2 and 5 for each image giving a total out of 15, but it\u2019s only the twelve highest scoring images that count towards the club\u2019s total mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along with other clubs from the SCPF, Chichester enters these prestigious competitions every year, but this year we have had the best set of results we\u2019ve ever achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>GB Trophy (Open)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our top twelve prints scored a total of 149 points and we came 4<sup>th<\/sup> in a competition that is traditionally dominated by portrait prints and composite images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We received one award:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/chichestercameraclub.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Julia-Wainwright-991-Leaving-a-Dust-Trail.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/chichestercameraclub.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Julia-Wainwright-991-Leaving-a-Dust-Trail-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26822\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c991 Leaving a Dust Trail\u201d by Julia Wainwright was awarded a PAGB Silver medal (Gordon Jenkins award).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>GB Trophy (Nature)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We scored a total of 153 points and were runners-up, just one point behind Bristol Photographic Society. We had three awards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/chichestercameraclub.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Ian-Roberts-Hyena-Scavenging-for-Food.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/chichestercameraclub.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Ian-Roberts-Hyena-Scavenging-for-Food-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26823\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHyena Scavenging for Food\u201d by Ian Roberts scored 15 and was awarded a PAGB Gold medal for the Best Nature print.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/chichestercameraclub.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Julia-Wainwright-Red-Fox-Listening-for-Prey.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/chichestercameraclub.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Julia-Wainwright-Red-Fox-Listening-for-Prey-1024x724.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26824\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRed Fox Listening for Prey\u201d by Julia Wainwright was awarded a PAGB Silver medal (Dave Tucker award).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/chichestercameraclub.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Julia-Wainwright-Savanna-Sentinel.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/chichestercameraclub.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Julia-Wainwright-Savanna-Sentinel-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26825\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSavanna Sentinel\u201d by Julia Wainwright was awarded a PAGB Ribbon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>GB Cup (Open)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We scored a total of 143 points and came 9<sup>th<\/sup>= with no awards, but that\u2019s a big improvement on our 23<sup>rd<\/sup> place in last year\u2019s competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>GB Cup (Nature)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We scored a total of 149 points and were the winners of this trophy, three points ahead of Cambridge Camera Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;We also had one award:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/chichestercameraclub.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Jim-Munday-Wren-with-Beakful.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/chichestercameraclub.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Jim-Munday-Wren-with-Beakful-1024x640.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26826\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWren with Beakful\u201d by Jim Munday was awarded a PAGB Ribbon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I would like to thank the Selection Committee for their efforts, we had a five-hour selection meeting in early February to select images for these competitions. I would also like to thank the members who provided the images we have used, particularly those who provided additional unmounted A3 prints for the GB Trophy competitions.
