Bring them on a phone or a laptop if thats easier ====== \n===== Also please ensure that you have taken a Lateral Flow Test on the day itself\, and that you are double jabbed and boosted! ======= \n  \nI’m afraid this one is going to be tough one – for all of you. \nI’m going to show you how you can\, almost immediately\, improve your images significantly. Significantly. Push-you-right-to-the-top-of the-Intermediate-tables-significantly. Unfortunately it also means that after the session you may never look at your own images in the same way again ….. \n\nThe cornerstone of photography – Composition\n\nI’ll go through the rules of composition\, with emphasis ONLY on the ones which you can use practically in the field. I’ve carried out an analysis on my own (because using others’ images probably infringes copyright laws) last 70 keeper images to support my views – and after an exercise or two\, I’ll be asking you to evaluate your own images …..  \n2. DESCRIPTION:I’ve always enjoyed visiting new places\, meeting new people and I suffer from an unquenchable desire to escape normality. For as long as I can remember I’ve always had the urge to get out and see the world\, experience new cultures and explore wild landscapes but it wasn’t until I started to travel the world that photography became one of my great passions in life. \nOver the past decade or so I’ve been able to travel extensively and experience many of the amazing gifts the planet has to offer. It’s these experiences that naturally led to me specialising in travel photography. Although it’s often the incredible landscapes that make people want to travel\, it’s the culture and interaction with the native people that I find the most rewarding. I love to take candid photos of people going about their everyday life. Of the 100 copies printed and more than half have sold.

SUMMARY:Slawek Staszczuk: Landscape - from idea to post-production
DESCRIPTION:Slawek is a freelance photographer specialising in landscape\, travel and architecture. Born and raised in Gdynia\, on the Baltic coast of Poland\, he moved to Brighton in 2007. The countryside around the city proved very inspiring and led him to develop his\, then novel and since often imitated\, style of photographing the South Downs with telephoto lenses. DESCRIPTION:============= open to all club members ================== \n====== let me know you are coming in case of cancellation ====== \nThis is the Night Photography walk.  Portsmouth Hard is an ideal location for Night Photography – there are several good subjects all easily within 100 metres of the Hard:  The Spinnaker Tower\, HMS Warrior and not least the new Bus Terminal. \nSunset is at 4.05pm\, so meet at 3.15pm outside Portsmouth Harbour train station. \nFrom 3.30pm we will be shooting the immediate location in dying light from 3.30 to 4.20\, watching exposure times grow from a second or so to 30 seconds . After 4.20 it will be very dark\, with almost all light being artificial and coming from the three subjects.  Thats when true night photography comes into its own. \nI will have covered the techy bits of night photography in the Tangmere Session on the 15th November – but dont panic\, if you are new to such things it is surprisingly easy and demands no particularly special kit. Just bring a camera with a standard lens (18-55mm on crop sensor) and a tripod. A tripod is essential of course. If you have a wide angle lens (10-20mm on crop sensor) then do bring it\, it will come in very useful especially for the bus station. \nApart from that\, dress for the weather and the temperatures. By late November you will be pleased you brought a wooly hat and maybe even gloves. \nThe postcode for the Hard is PO1 3EB\, but its pretty much academic. Travelling from the west its a ferry ride across the harbour – the ferry docks 50 metres from the Hard. Otherwise you can travel by car\, in which parking can be found online at justpark or parkopedia\, but an obvious choice for most is to travel by train from Chichester to Portsmouth Harbour.  A direct train leaves Chichester at 1429\, arrives at 1503 and costs £9.30 return.  The meet point is just outside the station and direct trains leave pretty much every half hour from 1805 onwards.  \nIt does help if you let me know if you are coming; events may well be cancelled at last minute and if heavy rain is forecast.
